Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ (his life, burial, and resurruction): for it is the power (authority) of God unto salvation (deliverance) to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
God has the power and authority to deliver those that believe and obey his word, even in the face of death.
Rom 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith (by their confidence in the word of God).
The more confidence you have in the word of God, the more power it has in your life.
Matt 17:18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
Matt 17:19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
Matt 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief (unbelief can stop the word of God): for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith (confidence in the word of God) as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Rom 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested (revealed), being witnessed by the law (the Scriptures) and the prophets (Old Testament);
Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith (confidence) of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Rom 3:23 For all (all of us) have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
So we've all had a mind set against God, but the question is what are you going to do about it?
Rom 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation (a means of appeasing God anger) through faith in his blood (life), to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Rom 3:26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him (us) which believeth in Jesus.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized (to immerse, to submerge the hold body in water) every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already (their not waiting to be condemned, they are condemned. Why?), because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Notice this name must be applied to your life through baptism in Jesus name, it is a commandment.
1John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
1John 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ (water baptism in his name), and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
1Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins (for our violation Scriptures), the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened (given life) by the Spirit:
1Peter 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison (in hell);
1Peter 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
1Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
According to 1 Peter 3:21 baptism does save us, and it is even confirm in Mark 16:16.
Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
If you don't believe this you’re set for destruction.
Rev 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
He that overcomes the condition and mind set of this world; we shall live with God in peace.
