Is there one way to God or does the bible teach men can come to God, as he please? The bible teach, prove all things and hold fast to that which is good 1 Thessalonians 5:21. So nothing should be left to chance or opinion, and opinion is something that can't be back up with facts. You may believe it or feel it, but there is nothing to prove it is true. As strange as it my be today many people believe in religions which can't be back up with facts. Can you say a religion which can't be back up with facts is true? Do you believe in a religion, that can be proven through the scriptures? So is there one way to God or many way to God, that we may chose?
King James Bible 1611
John 17:17-20, Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18, As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19, And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. 20, Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
Sanctify: to be sanctify to be set apart, or to be set apart from religious orders.
Through thy truth: through a clear understand of word of God
Thou hast sent me: God has sent him, him who? Jesus
I also sent them into the world: I Jesus have sent them, them who? the disciple or apostles which are the same people. Anybody coming after the Apostles are to late, so who can these men be, that came after the Apostles with another teaching, but ministry of Satan 2 Corinthians 11:13-15. Yes Satan have ministry, did you know that? Are sitting under a Ministry of Satan
ISAIAH 8:16, Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciple.
Bind up: to bind up is to wrap up, to bring altogether, and this is the only place in the Old Testament where you find the word disciple. So this speaking of what was to happen in the future.
Seal the law: to seal, to close or conclude the scriptures with the disciple. These men is where the bible stop, any teaching not found written in the bible or going beyound what they taught is not true.
Isaiah 8:20, To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
To the law: the scriptures, the Old Testament
To the testimony: the New Testament
If they speak not according to this word: if they speak not according to what is written in the bible, not something that in their mind, but something that they can show you in the bible, their is no light in them: their's no true in them.
Luke 24:44-49
44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
The law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms, is the Old Testament. So Jesus came to fulfill that which was written about him in the Old Testament.
45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
Jesus made the scriptures clear to his disciples, not and opinion, but what the word of God was saying.
46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
That repentance and the remission of sins was to first be taught in Jerusalem, then carry out to the rest of the world.
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
The disciples were witnesses of these things and had a clear understanding of these matters
49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
The disciples were to wait in Jerusalem until they were filled with the Holy Ghost, before carrying the message of salvation out of Jerusalem to the human family.
Acts 2:1-8, 21-22, 38-39, 41-42, 46-47
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues (languages), as the Spirit gave them utterance (the ability).
They were filled first with the Holy Ghost
5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
They were at Jerusalem
6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
Not and unknown tongue but his own language
7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galileans?
8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Joel 2:32
Verse 21 how do you apply this to your life, and what is the correct application of this scripture? We'll see the correct application of this scripture in Acts 2:38 in a minute.
22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
Jesus of Nazareth a man, not a God. This plain English no interpretation needed, a man not a God.
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent (ISA 55:7), and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Here's the application of verse 21 found in Acts 2:38. So verse 21 can only be applied to your life by someone standing over you calling on the name of Jesus as they baptize you, fully submerge you body in water calling of the of name Jesus Christ.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.
This is for all those that God is calling for the Jews and the Gentiles
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
The apostle's teaching, not some Church teaching coming out of the mind of men.
46 And they, continuing daily with one accord (one teaching) in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart (one mind),
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
The Lord add to the Church
The is teacing was passed on to the Gentiles Acts 10:44-48
Jeremiah, 32:39, 40, And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me forever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:
one heart: one mind
one way: one course, one teaching
Ephesian 4:4-6, There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5, One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Not many way but just one way
2 Thessalonians 2:15, Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the tradition which ye have been taught, whether by word or our epistle.
Our epistle, the Apostles/Disciples epistle. The epistle are Roman, 1st Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians and etc... The New Testament, the bible.
2 Thessalonians 3:6, Now we (the Apostles) command you, brethren in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw (serparate) yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us (the Apostles).
Gal 1:6-10
I hope this has been of some help and have answer your question is there one way or many ways to God.
